How to Send the Perfect Photo
The quality of your portrait depends on the quality of your photo. Follow these simple tips and we'll create something truly stunning.
File Requirements
Minimum file size
10 MB
A larger file means more detail — which gives us more to work with when painting your portrait.
Accepted formats
JPEG · PNG · WEBP
JPEG is preferred. It gives the best balance of quality and file size for portrait generation.
Minimum resolution
1500 × 1500 px
The higher the resolution, the sharper and more detailed your final printed portrait will be.

What Makes a Great Photo
✓ Do
- Use a photo where your pet's face is clearly visible and facing the camera
- Shoot in natural daylight — near a window is perfect
- Make sure the photo is in focus — no motion blur
- Include the full head and ideally the neck/shoulders
- Use a recent photo that captures their personality
- Send your highest resolution version (original from phone is ideal)
✗ Avoid
- Dark or heavily shadowed photos
- Photos taken at night with flash (causes red-eye and harsh shadows)
- Blurry or out-of-focus images
- Screenshots from social media (they are compressed and low quality)
- Photos where the face is turned away or partially hidden
- Photos with strong filters or heavy editing
Best Angles
Full face looking directly at the camera. This gives us the most detail and creates the most impactful portrait.
A slight turn to the left or right. Still shows both eyes clearly and adds a natural, lively feel.
We can still work with side profiles, but the result may be less detailed. Contact us if this is the only photo you have.
Multiple Pets in One Portrait
Want all your fur babies together? Send one clear photo per pet (not a group photo where they're blurry or overlapping). We'll compose them into a single beautiful portrait.
Add a note in the order comments specifying which pet should be on the left/right, or any arrangement preferences.
